89 / 100 Robert Parker This saturated, deep ruby/purple-colored wine is a big, rich, smoky St.-Emilion exhibiting this estate's tell-tale characteristics of Provencal olives, black cherry liqueur, prunes, and toasty new oak. It is soft, supple, and ideal for consuming over the next 10-12 years. Wine Advocate #128 Apr 2000
90 / 100 Wine Spectator A big and luscious wine for the vintage, this outstanding Bordeaux delivers loads of plum, berry and pomegranate character on the nose. It's full-bodied, with lots of velvety tannins and a long, long finish. Best after 2000. http://www.winespectator.com/wine/detail/source/search/not..
16 / 20 Jancis Robinson 25% Cabernet Franc, 75% Merlot. A higher percentage of Merlot because of rain at the end of harvest. Cabernet Franc was not ripe enough. Pale rim. A little dull at the rim. Aromatic. A bit stodgy and occluded. Some sweetness and the tannins are a little raw. I can’t see this ever coming into perfect balance. http://www.jancisrobinson.com/tasting_notes/tn2011102643.h..
